Rosie Prevost |
Rosie Prevost is a professional photographer who began her career in the commercial field, previously operating her own studio, Woodside Photography.
She is the Fine Arts Department Chair at St. Johnsbury Academy where she has joyfully taught the art and principles of photography, rooted in silver-based materials and the magical alchemy of the darkroom, since 2001.
She is a founding member of 215 College Street Gallery in Burlington, Vermont where she exhibits work regularly. Her personal work, which is typically black and white, ranges from luminous landscapes and revealing portraits to found objects. She is currently working on a project called “What is Home?”
At the Academy she is an active participant of the Outing Club, Photo Society and Clear River Review Journal. She is currently on the board of directors at Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury and a member of the Society of Photographic Educators.
She resides in St. Johnsbury with her husband and two sons.

Catamount Arts is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors comprised of arts enthusiasts from all cross- sections of the local community (teachers, photographers, administrators, musicians, parents, realtors, seniors, bankers, painters, lawyers, psychologists, students, engineers, etc). This passionate group of individuals works countless hours to fulfill Catamount's mission to inspire appreciation of and participation in the arts, promote the arts throughout the region, and cultivate the arts as an integral part of community life.
